2015-2021 WRX RESTRICTOR PILL REMOVAL INFO

  • The restrictor pill removal only needs to be done as a specific mod on cars that have the stock boost controller and an aftermarket j-pipe.

  • Stock Boost Controller + Aftermarket J-Pipe = remove pill from vacuum line

  • The restrictor pill is also removed as a byproduct of installing an aftermarket boost controller, but it is not a specific part of the install.  The pills are located inside the stock vacuum lines.  When you install an aftermarket EBCS and use the provided vacuum lines, the pills are "automatically" removed since all the vacuum lines are changed.

  • Aftermarket Boost Controller = pill removed when vacuum lines are replaced during install
