Pros & Cons of E-Tuning

PROS

  • Environment: Car loads and environment are exactly what the car will be in every day.
  • Aerodynamics: hood is down, heat soak is exactly how it will be daily, under hood aerodynamics are accounted for.
  • Knowledge: a better understanding of the tuning process and monitoring your own vehicle. It’s a more involved process, you are the one driving the car and you have control of when to get out of a pull if you think something is wro

CONS

  •  Time: the process can take 1-2 weeks or substantially longer depending on the client’s ability to record logs and send it back at a reasonable time.
  • Potential Tickets: E-tunes are done by the client on the street of their choosing. Speeding/traffic tickets are always a possibility.
  • Unforeseen Factors: traffic, accidents, old ladies, animals, and weather can all come into play when logging.
  • Troubleshooting and/or mechanical issues via internet is always a difficult and tedious task.
